Shots are no fun!

On Friday Logan had his 4 month check up at the doctors. Everything went well and he is a healthy baby boy. Bryan was even able to come with us this time which was nice. 4 months equals more vaccinations. Logan does great with the oral one. Sucks it down like nothing. The 2 shots were not as easy. The poor guy is just laying on the table all happy and babbling when WHAM he is stuck in one leg. Instant tears and no noise cries and then WHAM stuck again. He just looks at me like "Mom what did you let them do to me?" Poor guy! Good thing is that he only cries for a minute and is okay once I pick him up. Glad we don't have to do that again for another 2 months :)



Here are his 4 month stats:

Weighs 15lbs 10 ounces (90th percentile)
Height is 26 inches (75th percentile)
Head is 43.5 cm (75th percentile)

He grew 3 inches and gained 4 pounds since his last appointment. He is growing nicely the doctors say. Makes mom very happy!

We also got the go ahead to start Logan on rice cereal. We tried it the other night and today. He is not a fan yet. He just spits it back out after pushing it around in his mouth. I guess we will just keep trying until he gets the hang of it. So cute to see him eating off of a spoon :)

Wordless Wednesday

This was my rocking chair as a little girl.....and now it's Logan's. So cute!!

4 months old

Logan is now 4 months old!! I just cannot believe how fast he is growing up. This past month he has changed so much. He no longer acts like a wee newborn, but more like a big boy. His little personality is starting to show. He is just the sweetest boy. I am so blessed that I get to spend my days with him. He really is my best friend!!



Here is this past months stats:

• He wears size 2 diapers
• Wears size 3-6 months clothes as well as some 6 month clothes as well

• He is eating 32-35 oz a day ( one 9oz bottle in the morning and four 6 oz bottles the rest of the day)

• He loves to play on his play mat at night with Daddy. He will play there for 30 minutes easily

• He is starting to love his bumbo seat. He loves to sit in it and play with toys on the tray.

• He has started reaching for toys you hold in front of him
• Loves to chew on his thumb and index finger (until he gags himself)

• Still sleeps through the night. Goes to bed around 9pm and wakes up around 8am
• He tried out his Jumperoo for the first time. He is just learning how to make himself move. Most of the time we help him jump a little :)
  

• He loves to sit on your lap and just watch what is going on around him
• He laughs all the time now.....best sound EVER!!!
• His favorite toys these days are a little green ball and of course Sophie the giraffe

• He tried rice cereal the other day....not a fan!! Guess we will just keep trying :)
• He still LOVES bath time. He new thing is chewing on the wash cloth...very cute!
  

• He is starting to go BALD...his hair is falling out in clumps. He totally rocks a comb over these days :)
• He weighed 14lbs 2oz a couple weeks ago when we had to take him into the doctors for a yeast rash

He has his 4 month well visit next Friday so we will see how much he has grown then. 4 months also means more shots!! I hope this time around will be better than last time :)

Sleeping Angel

3 months.....

Guess who is 3 months old???


Yep on August 14th, Logan turned 3 months old and I just cannot believe it. This past month has gone by the fastest yet. There have been lots of changes in him too. We are starting to really see his little personality these days. He loves interacting with B and I and be in the same room with us experiencing whatever we are doing. I just love him at this age. He isn't my wee newborn anymore....he is an infant now :) I cannot wait to see all the changes this coming month bring.

Napping with Momma

Here is what Logan is up to at 3 months:

* He is still in size 1 diapers....will be in size 2 once we finish this last box of size 1's
*He can still fit in 0-3 months clothes and some 3-6 months things as well (it really depends on the brand)
*He now weighs 12lbs 13 oz (50th percentile) as of last week at the docs


*He is still sleeping through the night. He usually falls asleep around 9-9:30pm and sleeps until 8-8:30 am (mom is still happy about this!!)
*He is now exclusively formula fed.....no more breast milk :(
* He eats 25-30 oz a day



* He smiles ALL the time now....very cute especially when he sticks his tongue out while smiling too


*He still LOVES his bouncy seat....he would bounce in that thing all day if I let him :)
*He is liking tummy time more and more these days. I figured out if I lay him on the the floor propped up on his boppy pillow he does much better. He can now hold his head up for longer periods and has pretty good control


*When he wakes up in the morning he is such a HAPPY guy. He smiles and coos.....best part of my day, waking up to his smiling face :)
* He is starting to really drool these days....we call him Bubbles because he spits and makes so many bubbles of drool




* He is constantly sucking on his fist (only his right one)
* He loves to lay on his play mat....he will lay there for a good 30 minutes as long as Dad lays with him and plays:)



Logan had many firsts again this month:


*He laughed for the 1st time at 12 weeks (best sound ever)
*He stuck his feet in the pool for the 1st time the other day....didn't like it at first but soon got used to it and loved kicking his little feet in the water


* He also rolled over again tummy to back
*He found his feet the other day for the first time. He loves to stare at them....wondering "What are these things?"

* He learned how to make the "blowing raspberries"noise {the noise you make when blowing on his belly or vroom vroom noise if you are Ty bear and Porter :)} I often wake up to him making this noise....very cute!

2 months....

My sweet baby is 2 months old!! Well actually now he is 2 1/2 months old now....as I am late with this post. Once again I cannot believe he is already 2 months old! Time if just flying by so fast. He has changed so much this past month. His little personality is coming out a little bit more each day. He definitely will let you know if he does not like something or if he is unhappy. Boy oh boy does he know how to scream!! When he wants something......he wants it NOW!!

Here are a few of the other things going on in the past month:

* He now fights sleep. He will whine when he is tired and will continue until you bounce him in his bouncy seat. Once you do that he will be out within 5 minutes!

* He has outgrown all his newborn clothes and now wears size 0-3 months (although some of his 3 month jammies with feet are getting to short)

* He is in size 1 diapers but will soon be in size 2

*He absolutely HATES tummy time!! We are currently working on that though :)

*He started smiling all the time at 5 weeks....I just love his little smile

Mom's little flirt :)

*At his 1 month doctors appointment he was prescribed Zantac for acid reflux. It has been working wonders for him

* At 4 weeks, he started sleeping longer stretches at night (usually sleep 11-5am, eat and sleep again 6-11am) Much improved from the previous month when he would be up 11pm-7am screaming!!

Hi ;)

* At 6 weeks he started sleeping through the night (usually 10-12 hours a night). He just did this all on his own one night and has done it ever since. Makes mom very happy because now she actually get some sleep

*He now sleeps in his lamb swing at night....still not able to lay flat without acid coming up his throat, so the swing keeps him upright (hey whatever works, right??)

Sweet baby feet

*He usually eats between 25-32 ounces a day

* He still is eating around 5 oz every 2-3 hours...... except 7oz when he first gets up since he hasn't eaten since the night before

*His favorite thing right now is his bouncy seat.....he will bouncy in that thing for hours!!




*He has started to really enjoy his baths....loves to kick his legs and splash :)



Oh and here are his stats at his 2 month doctor's appointment:
-He weighed 11 lbs 9 oz (50th percentile)
-He measured 23 inches long ( 50th percentile)
-His head measured 15.5 inches or 39.5cm (30th percentile)

1 Month....

On June 14th, Logan turned one month old!! The first month flew by very fast! It was a month of change and a month of getting used to our new life as parents. It was very difficult at the beginning but B and I slowly got the hang of things. Everyday we fell more and more in love with our precious baby boy! We never knew what we were missing until we met Logan. It is amazing how much you can love your baby and would do anything for them. He is the best thing to happen to us! We just love him oh so much.

One Month Old!!

At Logan's 1 month doctors visit:
* He weighed 8 lbs 12oz (25 percentile)
*He measured 21 1/2 inches in length (average)
* His head measured 38.5 cm or 15 in. (average)

Logan also smiled for the 1st time at 3 weeks....So CUTE!!
